Kuwait may be small but it still has spots that continue to attract visitors. For these reasons, Kuwaiti government imposed rules as regards entry and stay within the country. As of the year 2004, there are only 34 countries allowed to acquire visa upon arrival. This includes USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and The Netherlands. Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway Denmark, and Portugal are also part of the list. The same goes with Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, The Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China.
For nationals of countries excluded from the list may obtain their visa in any Kuwait Airways Office. The office has a facility that may process the papers online. All the applicant has to do is to submit the necessary requirements, which are a completed visa application form, a valid passport, a copy of the local sponsor's signature, and a copy of a the invitation from the sponsor or local travel agency. Upon submission of these papers plus a visa fee of three KD, the document may be issued and the applicant will have freedom to enter and explore the country.
