Kuwaitis are famous for their hospitality and warmth. Greetings and regards are also abundant in this country as well as tea, which are usually served to visitors. A part of the house is even separated just for the comfort of the visitor. This area is called dewaniya. Like a reception hall, guests are ushered into these rooms upon arrival. Aside from this, Kuwaiti culture is generally similar to other Arab countries. The major religion is Islam, making major celebrations, the Ramadan and other Eid festivals, central to their lives.
