The core of Kazakhstan's nightlife is the city of Almaty. This city is as active late in the night as it is in the morning. The people are busy checking out the happenings in the many bars that stood invitingly on the side streets. There are also concert halls, theatres, and casinos to suit a whim for a more serene evening. The popular joints are Da Freak, which plays crazy-good dance music, Soho with its live band playing in the background, and Golden Dolls that features an alternation of female and Male strippers. Concert halls that are usually full with enthusiasts are The Republican German Drama Theater, and The Republican Uigur Theater of Musical Comedy.
