Visa is a mandatory requirement in entering China. Whether a person desires to stay for a few days or a year, airport folks would have to see a visa upon getting off the plane. For tourists who want to stay for days enough to experience most of the hotspots, a Visa categorized as the L Visa or the tourist needs to be processed upon planning the trip.
The requirements for a valid China Visa application are generally the same as with other countries. Applicants will need to submit a passport with a copy of its information and at least one blank visa page, one completed visa application form, and one recent 2x2 photo attached to the application form to the Visa Office of the Embassy or Consulate. They may apply for either of the two different types of L Visa. There is the Single Entry L Visa, which is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and the Double Entry L Visa that has 180 days of validity from the issuance date. After approximately four days, the Visa will be issued and it's all up hill from there.
