Another thing all dishes in the different islands of the Caribbean have in common is that most may be served with seafood as the main ingredient.
Popular dishes
Some of the Caribbean dishes famous even outside the bounds of the islands are commonly called "jerks". These are seasoned meat with a unique spicy kick. It is said to have roots from the Creoles of New Orleans. Another is goat and chicken curry which are popular in the islands which where penetrated by Indians.
Natural eats
Aside from foods cooked by the islanders, the Caribbean is also proud of its natural gifts. Fruits and vegetables are abundant in the island and these are eaten aside from the cooked dishes. People take them as dessert or side dish to their meals. Others even include these into their cookings.
