More about Bhutan costs
Traveling to Bhutan requires arrangements done by an approved tour operator. You can opt to deal directly with the operator or have an overseas agent do the work. Agents help clients avoid any difficult payment procedures and save you the trouble of emailing, faxing, and shady international bank transfers. Visits are required a minimum daily tariff, costing about 9,286.00 BTN (200.00 USD) a day for three or more people in a hotel. During off peak seasons from July to August, the tariff only costs about 7,660.95 BTN (165.00 USD).
The tariff already includes food, transportation, guide services, pack animals, accommodation, and cultural programs. Rates depend on the location and the room you'll be staying in. Surcharge applies to both individuals and couples. An individual who opts to leave separately or arrive earlier may be charged separately from his/her group. A pair has a surcharge of 1,392.90 BTN (30.00 USD) for two people while one person will pay 1,857.20 BTN (40.00 USD) . Extra costs include drinks, laundry, and cultural experiences. Extra charges depend on your tour plans and prices can be negotiated.
