Bermuda is fairly safe for tourists. The only problem that may be encountered is road related. There are no cars for rent in the island and most travelers are enticed by the cute Vespa-like motorbikes. Unfortunately, rather than make the experience memorable, these vehicles may actually become the cause of a flunked trip. The country has very busy roads and highways, small vehicles are unsafe on them. There are even narrow passageways where motorbike passengers usually break their legs. Thus, tourists planning to visit Bermuda are advised to be very careful when driving around on motorbikes, if possible, not to rent motorbikes at all.
