The culture of Benin is best characterized by their crafts painstakingly done by hand. From bronze heads carefully sculpted by ancient Ife artists, to fine tapestries that traditionally depict the life of the reigning king, just name it and Benin definitely has it. It is a vault for interior designers and art collectors. Aside from these, the country is also rich in talent. Well preserved traditional dances are still performed in Benin. It is always accompanied by music, which further affirms that the artistry of the citizens transcends through time, and category of art.
When it comes to religion, the people of Benin are also enthusiastic. To each his own, there are Christians, some are Muslims, and others are Voduns. The same may be said about the language. There are citizens who speak Beninese, while others are fluent in French. Despite differences on these major elements of culture, the country remains united especially during occasions like the National Voodoo Day, and the National Day.
