Who requires visa?
Nationals of most countries are required visa to enter Uruguay. Only the United States and other neighbors are allowed to come into the country even without visa. These people are allowed for up t0 30 days stay in Uruguay. On the other hand, those who are required visa must apply at the nearest Uruguayan embassy or consulate in their country.
Documents required
For people who wish to acquire visa, application for one requires certain legal papers including a passport with at least six months validity and one free visa page, a return or onward airline ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and certificates of vaccination. Visa fee must also be paid in order for the application to be processed.
Issuance and validity
Visa processing usually takes a few days depending on the country of origin of the applicant and the decision of the embassy. The issued document will be valid for up to 30 days from the date of issue.
