There are many spots to go to when looking for an evening of sheer fun in Uruguay. There are bars, clubs, tango lounges, and discos all over the different cities. It would just take patience to find the one that suits one's fancy. For those who do not have the luxury of time here are some that may be checked out.

W Lounge

Many tourists have W Lounge in their list of favorite night spots in Uruguay. This is a posh club in Montevideo were native celebrities and models swarm after work and especially during weekends. It plays great music, serves high-quality drinks, and the ambience is worth the price. For a night of dancing and dining this is a good choice.

Salu

Salu is one of the specialty joints in the country. It is a tango pub or a club where most of the songs played is danceable to tango. Many people who would love to experience one of the country's official dances come to this place to be taught and led by excellent tango instructors.

El Pueblo Viaje

This is a nice club in Colonial where age does not matter (literally). The guards of this joint are very lenient that even 16-year-old girls and boys may enter and dance the night away. In addition, it has an excellent atmosphere, and serves ice cold drinks.
