Casa Gorordo Museum was once the home of Philippine's first bishop named Juan Gorordo. He was born in 1862 and by 1885, he was ordained into priesthood. By the age of 47, Juan Gorordo was proclaimed as the Auxillary Bishop of Cebu, and he became the Bishop of Cebu in 1910 because of his dedication to his faith and his love for Cebu.
Today, Casa Gorordo Museum continues the passion of its former tenant by giving visitors a glimpse of Cebu's colorful past. It houses some of the oldest and rarest relics that depict the lifestyle of the Filipino people during the time of Juan Gorordo. Aside from that, there are several paintings and furniture in the museum that were made during the 1860s as well.
The current curator of the museum is Charles Muertegui. The museum has also been maintained very well.
