Mongolia Good to know |
With its small size, it is a suprise to find that Mongolia has a night life that can quench abar-hoppers thirst. A number of clubs, bars, and drinking pubs open on the onset of dusk. They serve the stressed and exhausted Mongolian workers and expats, as well as travelers looking for a good time. Club New York in the middle of Mongolia is a spacious bar that offers the usual Mongolian and Tibetan songs to dance to all night. Dave's Place in Ulaan Baatar is also a good spot for some drinking and mingling with other tourists. They play soothing Mongolian and foreign music.
While most people come to bars at night, some people would rather have a night of warm cinema. The Hohhot Dian Ying Gong is sure to satiate the need for a quiet evening of movie-watching. Not only is it a tourism center, the theater is also a cultural landmark in the country.
