Opened in 1993, the Seagaia Ocean Dome is listed in the Guinness World Records being the largest indoor man-made beach in the world. Number of visitors peaked in 1995 when it reached 1.25 million visitors for that year. It sports a 300 meter by 100 meter indoor beach complete with artificial sand, artificial waves and even an artificial volcano which simulates eruptions.
The Seagaia Ocean Dome also sports the world's largest retractable roof so that the sky is always blue here. Temperature conditions are maintained at 30 degrees Celsius and water is maintained at 28 degrees Celsius.
This indoor beach was closed in 2007 for renovation.
