Visa is required from citizens of most countries in entering the Ivory Coast. Thus, application for one is one of the prerequisites for a vacation or a-few-days visit.
The general requirements when applying for Visa to the Ivory Coast include a valid passport, two photos of identity, and proof of sufficient funds, which is generally 25 000 FCFA. These are submitted to the nearest Cote d'ivoire embassy in the home country of the prospective visitor.
After the submission, the process usually takes a day or two and the issued document will give a 60-day permitted stay. It will be valid for about three months from the day of issue.
