When visiting BVI's, there are a number of things to remember in order for the visit to be memorable and not a bad flap. Here are some of them.
Cash
Cash is very important when traveling, and more so when traveling to countries with very few, if not, no ATM machines. BVI's is one of these countries. ATM's exist yet most of them don't work. Even with a credit card, the trip would still be hard to pursue as only restaurants and other huge establishments accept these. Thus, for travelers going to the BVI's, better cash out that sum before leaving
Driving around
While driving around is a good way to see the islands, it is not as easy to do. The country drives on the left and the rentable cars' wheels are also on the left. This is quite confusing. At times, it causes road accidents and the ruin of what could have been a nice trip. Travelers must be very careful.
Sailing
Sailing and cruising is one of the main activities in BVI's but it won't be as much fun if caught crossing the borders to USVI's. Tourists should be warned that a number of USVI's are closer to some BVI's than other islands of the country. Getting to these islands by accident can cause trouble. It is best for sailors to secure proper papers before traversing the waters in order to prevent penalizations when caught in this situation.
