The topography of Afghanistan doesn't just affect the weather of the country. It also has an effect on the country's cuisine. On its vast lands grow different kinds of crops. These crops serve as main ingredients, herbs, and spices of the Afghan cooking.
Some Afghan foods, which are generally characterized as slightly spicy, are chatney (pepper sauce), qaboli palao (national dish), qorma (stew), and khameerbob (pasta). Street foods are also quite spicy. There is the kebab (grilled meat skewers), mantu (meat dumplings), and londi (spiced jerky). These are the country's pride and definitely a testament to its people's ingenuity.
