Afghanistan is such a vast country. It has numerous tribes and ethnicities. These groups have their own ways of life, making the country's sum-total culture rich and diverse. Since most original tribes are Sunni Muslims, the major religion is Sunni Islam. The languages spoken are Pashtu and Dari. The core values revolve around the concepts of family, honor and shame, and hospitality. Customs and traditions strictly prohibit mixing of genders outside families. Alcohol is not allowed to be given as a present unless done discreetly. And families are to celebrate festivals like Ramadan and Eid Feasts together.
