Rules on drunkenness and bringing alcohol

Unlike in other Muslim countries, it is okay to bring a maximum of two bottles of alcoholic beverage in Yemen, as long as you are not a Muslim. You may also get drunk, but not in public areas such as bars, only in your room or private property. If you are caught having more than two bottles of beer or if you are seen drunk in public, you will be imprisoned and stay in prison depending on the prevailing laws of your local destination.
