Singapore's Botanical garden is like one well taken care of big public park, that host a beautiful orchid garden, swan's lake and concert hall in the middle. Also worth visiting the Children Garden. The best time to visit is in the morning, around 8am or earlier or evenings if there are some performance. The weather is humid and hot, and during the day heat can be almost unbearable. In the morning you'll also see plenty of people practicing Thain Chi, traditional Chinese fan dancing or just having fun in one of the group exercises. Feel free to join in if you like. Entrance is free to the Botanical garden, you'll have to pay a 5 S$ entrance fee to the orchid garden, children under 12 enter free.
Botanical garden opens 5am-12 midnight, Orchid Garden 8.30am-7pm, last entry is at 6pm. Children Garden 8.00am-7pm, except Monday when it's closed, admission free for children below 12, but someone must accompany the child.
