In coming to Jordan, there are only a few things that travelers must remember. First is that the country is mostly desert. Water is a resource which is difficult to acquire in this place. Even hotels have their own ways of conserving water. Travelers must cooperate with this fact and minimize as much as possible the consumption of water. However, this does not apply with drinking water, especially with western travelers. Dehydration must be prevented while conserving water.
Another thing that visitors should prepare for in coming to Jordan is the capital of the country. Amman's traffic is rather dangerous. When crossing the street, wait for signals and look left and right at all times. This is in order to prevent any kind of accident.
