Holders of United States and Canadian passports are not required visa to enter the Bahamas. Some Caribbean country citizens are also not required to have visa to enter the country. Besides these, visa is necessary, lest risk to be flown back to one's homeland. All the citizens of the countries pointed in the said site that would need visa may apply for one in the Bahamian embassy or consulate in their homeland. The applicants will need to submit a passport, an original or official birth certificate, a return or onward ticket, copy of travel itinerary, and proof of sufficient funds. Upon submission of these documents, plus the visa fee, the paper will immediately be processed then issued. It will be valid for at least three months from the date of issue.
