If you are going to stay in a hotel in Vietnam (duh!), do remember to accomplish a police form because it is the law there. So if you don't want any trouble or whatsoever, just shut up and sign. Even if you are going to stay in a local's house, it is still required. Otherwise, they will most likely report you to the police immediately.
