The crown jewel in Polissya's history is the Pripyiat, an abandoned city that was once home to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant workers. The worn out buildings are no visual feast, but they seem to give off an eerie (and maybe a radioactive) atmosphere of wasted lives.
The small city has everything anyone might need for daily living. These include groceries, schools, a hospital, and restaurants. The town's original residents were told to evacuate until a reactor problem was fixed, but little did they know that they would never return. The town's empty buildings and leftover furniture might tickle anyone's curiosity. There is even a deserted amusement park, which was supposed to open days after the residents had left.
