The University of the Philippines Manila is just one of the many campuses the University has all over the Philippines. What makes this special is the fact that this is the birthplace of the University. It was founded here in 1908 and is currently the oldest UP campus. The College of Medicine in the University of Manila campus was actually founded three years before the University. UP student body is known to be very political as well. They have adopted a stance toward academic freedom and excellence.
