Legend has it that the Nepalese town of Panauti is immune from the devastation of earthquakes. True or not, the town is still legendary by its history alone. Located between the Roshi Khola and Pungamati Rivers, it once served as a junction of important trading routes. A fascinating fact about it, however, is that it has somehow remained almost the same as it was centuries ago: the nostalgic feel, the narrow streets, and the ancient structures - one of which is arguably the oldest temple in Nepal.
