Baraha Chheta
About an hour away from the Biratnagar is the important and popular Hindu pilgrimage site known as Baraha Chhetra. The first thing that travelers will find when approaching the temple is the magnificent views of the surrounding rivers. From here, travelers can watch the devotees taking their holy baths in the river.
According to a legend, Lord Vishnu once went down to earth on the exact location of Baraha Chhetra. Here, he slayed an evil demon known as Hirayankashyapu.
To get to the temple, travelers can either take a bus going there or grab a taxi.
