The quaint town of Banepa serves as a significant trading hub in Nepal, particularly because it possesses the only highway that connects the region to the rest of the country. In fact, even centuries before, the ancient people have recognized its value as a vital route towards Tibet. Accordingly, it also had a diplomatic relationship with China's great Ming Dynasty, a rare feat for a relatively obscure location.
