Like the tourism systems of other countries, Israel also has countries, which it allows to enter and stay without visa. These exempted nations include, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Central African Republic, and Chile. The citizens of Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Hong Kong, Hungary, and Iceland are also exempted. Even people holding passports from Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea South, Latvia, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, and Poland may enter and stay without visa. The same goes with Portugal, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, St Kitts & Nevis Surinam, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, and Vanuatu. Beyond these, visa must be applied for.
In applying, the necessary documents are generally a valid passport with at least six months validity and free visa pages. A plane ticket from Israel is also required. Without these, application for visa will be invalid and a trip may become difficult, even impossible.
