There isn't much to see in this pastoral province hemmed in the eastern part of Cambodia. Visitors who still wish to taste the life here will be rewarded by a glimpse of its nearby town Neak Luong via a ferry ride to the Mekong River. For the truly adventurous, a trip to the nearby mountains such as Sam Por, Sa Ang, Thum and Bohn Chor can be arranged. It was the during pre-Angkorian time that Prey Veng flourished but today, a few old shrines (Prey Vea, Prey Cha Rick and Kandal) disintegrating at Ba Phnom remain. Frogs in this place are considered a delicacy especially during the rainy season as young boys wade through flooded rice fields of Prey Veng to catch them.
