Cordoba is the second largest city in Argentina and is centrally located in it. It is located at the foothills of the Sierras Chicas Mountains in the valley of the Suquia River. Cordoba has a population who are mostly of European descent. Cordoba is surrounded by the provinces of Santiago del Estero and Catamarca to the north, by La Rioja and San Luis to the west, by La Pampa and Buenos Aires to the south, and by Santa Fe to the east.
Cordoba enjoys an important position in the tourism list of Argentina as it is rich in culture in music, theatre, literature and other form of arts. It is also blessed with scenic beauty and a strong history. Cordoba is well known for making important contributions to art and thus makes itself an important example for cultural growth in Argentina. The Camino de las Estancias Jesu'ticas and Manzana Jesu'tica (a large area of historical buildings) Patrimonies of the Humanity highlight a combination of magnificent landscapes, traditions and customs.
Cordoba not only gives a tourist a chance to come in contact with nature, but is also able to provide the important facilities which are needed by most tourists in a city.

The San Martin Square, the Jesuit Cathedral, the Chapter House and Trejo's House are important historical buildings and monuments which display the richness of Cordoba's heritage.
Festival lovers can have a real blast as various festivals are held every year between the months of February and September. Some of the festivals which are celebrated on a very large scale with lots of pomp and splendor are the Carnival, Friend Day and Spring Day. Music and singing are important features of these celebrations.
Very rarely does a city have such a wide list of activities. Cordoba also offers farm tourism, bird watching, ecotourism and photographic safaris to its visitors.
The landscape of Cordoba is rich and varied and contains areas covered by brooks, marshes, lagoons, golden wheat fields, green alfalfa fields, mountains, valleys, fast-flowing rivers, big lakes, and pine tree forests.
