Montagnards - "A term of French origin that refers to the Vietnamese hill-tribes and anything to do with them."
Although smaller than the one found in Hanoi, the Opera House of Haiphong has a very lavish and well decorated interior design. Also known as the Pho Quang Trung in local language, it has been the venue for several performances including some to benefit the victims during the Vietnam War.
In 2007, the Opera House was also the venue for a charitable musical show which was titled "Forever giving spring to you". The show aided Agent Orange poisoning in Haiphong.
