The Glossary
Tom Yum - "a very popular Thai dish around the world, it is a savory soup known for being extremely sour and spicy."
Technically, the Wat Khong Angkhan was built during the 8th or 8th century based on the Dvaravati sandstone markers around the temple, but the actual flamboyant buildings you see today were built in 1982. The design of these buildings is clearly influenced by Khmer style architecture. Inside, you will see several murals by Burmese artists.
The Wat Khong Angkhan also has a Chinese influenced pagoda that features a reclining Buddha measuring 29 meters. It also offers a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside that gives you a relaxed feeling.
