Thailand's National Gallery in Bangkok is home to both traditional and contemporary art works of the country. The gallery has pieces of art that dates back to the 17th century. Comparing the traditional works of art to the contemporary art is very interesting as the influence of western style becomes evident. Styles such as cubism and impressionism in contemporary Thai art have become very common.
Visitors of the National Gallery in Bangkok range from serious art connoisseurs to some more casual visitors. The gallery changes their temporary exhibits every few months which makes a visit here every now and then always interesting and a very educational experience to say the least.
