The Lin Antai Old Homestead was constructed in different years, the first in 1783, again in 1785, 1822 and 1823. Each year something new was added to the complex. In 1984, the whole complex was dismantled and relocated to its present location.
In constructing the building, no nails or adhesives were used. Also, most of the materials used were mud bricks, bamboo and stones. Feng Shui was also seriously considered during the construction of the house. Along with its long history and ancient architecture, visitors will also see a number of religious relics such as sculptures of various deities, ancestor worship, altars and many more.
What visitors would expect visiting the Lin Antai Old Homestead is that this place has no modern amenities or high tech gadgets, it is an old home but due to the design and architecture of this 30-room home, it is one of the most comfortable places to stay in.
