Also known as NSYSU, the National Sun Yat-sen University is a public university found in Kaohsiung. The university has been known to produce top students in the fields of Business Management, Oceanography and Engineering. The university has also been consistent within the world top 500 universities and was also named one of the World TOP 1000 Business School in 2008 by Eduniversal.

The National Sun Yat-sen University currently has seven academic units namely the College of Social Sciences, Management, Science, General Education, Marine Sciences, Engineering and Liberal Arts. The university was established by Republic of China's Founding Father, Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1923 as the National Kwangtung University. It was renamed to its current name in 1926.
