Galapatha Viharaya
Found along the main highway of Bentota is the Galapatha Viharaya, part of five temples which makes a complex. This is also one of the most important temples within the complex. It is said that this temple is home to a sacred relic, particularly Arahant Maha Kashyapa's tooth.
Every year, a huge procession takes place in the Galapatha Viharaya in honor of Arahant Maha Kashyapa. This event usually draws huge crowds.
