Going to the south side of the Singapore River you will find one of the busiest places on the island, Chinatown. Here one would find numerous colourful merchandise from wallets to shirts and of course, Chinese food. There are also a lot of interesting people to meet such as those practicing calligraphy. They move their brushes ever so gently creating perfect strokes everytime, you can even have your name written in Chinese calligraphy, for a price. Chinatown in Singapore is divided into four districts namely Kreta Ayer, Telok Ayer, Bukit Pasoh and Tanjong Pagar. Each of these districts have something different to offer and they are all worth a visit.
