As Singapore's oldest museum, the National Museum of Singapore is designed for the people. They have introduced a unique and cutting edge way to deliver their exhibits and history to the visitors, thus changing the mundane museum experience forever. It was completely revamped for three years and was opened to the public again in 2006 with all the new features and presentations. Aside from the art and history exhibits in the museum, the building itself is an attraction. It has been standing there since 1887. Its design is a mix of two styles namely Renaissance and Neo-Palladian. During the restoration effort that lasted three years from 2003 to 2006, every bit and piece of the museum was restored, giving back its appealing and awe inspiring look.
