Located at the heart of Chinatown in Singapore is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum. This museum is a place of worship for Buddhist devotees and at the same time, it is host to a cultural museum regarding Buddhism. The Sacred Buddha Tooth is housed in the temple as well in a splendid Relic Stupa made out of 420kg of gold which were donated by devotees. The architecture of the temple and museum were inspired by Tang Dynasty architecture. This was the era when Buddhism flourished in China and was considered as their golden age.
