Ninoy Aquino Statue

Located at the corner of Paseo de Roxas and Ayala Avenue in Makati is the Ninoy Aquino Statue. This statue serves as a monument to the former Philippine Senator who stood up against the dictatorial reign of Ferdinand Marcos during Martial Law in the country. Who fought for demcoracy in the Philippines, unfortunately he was exiled for it. Upon his return to the Philippines, he was shot even before he got off the airplane. The statue shows him just before the shooting.
