Cultural Centre of the Philippines

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is another one of Imelda Marco's projects during her husband's reign. The purpose of the structure is to preserve and promote Filipino art and culture. The CCP gives a venue for the best Filipino artists. It also showcases their achievements to encourage the creation of more original works from the artists. However, despite aiming to bring art and culture to the masses, the CCP is seen by the former as unapproachable and elitist.
