Some taxi drivers might be very nice and talkative, few cases were reported where a taxi driver was curious about a visitor's itinerary in the Philippines and once he learned that you are about to travel to the islands or even just exchange money he will drive without asking you to a travel agency (where he probably gets commission).

Basically it's not a big deal just a hassle and an unwanted delay.
