Thrift shopping in Baguio
team_everest
One of the primary activities in Baguio is to go bargain-hunting on a thrift shop or stores selling second-hand clothes and goods. Downtown Session Road has many of these shops. The prices used to be very cheap, but since many people are shopping there these recent years, the prices have somehow equaled the prices of the new garments. It's better if you survey for prices first before deciding to buy anything.
Likewise, inspect the clothes first before buying them. Watch out for damages, dust, and aweful smells on the garment. It's not adviseable to buy shoes as these are priced almost like the new ones and yet their soles are already overused. Just be patient and you'll find a true bargain, like slightly used Guccis, Louis Vuittons and other designer items. For Addidas surplus jackets, try the upmarket stalls beside the city market along Session Road.
