Fancy a Death Race?
jmnatividad03
Have you gotten bored with the usual triathlons and ultramarathons? Or do you just have a death wish or the urge to punish yourself? Well, the Death Race in Pittsfield, Vermont is for you. It is an event so brutal and grueling that aspiring participants are required to sign a fatality waiver, in case they die along the way!
Its ten-mile route will take you to the limits of the human muscular endurance, as well as testing your agility, ingenuity, including mental ability and toughness. You'll quarter 20 logs with an axe, crawl through mud and barbed wire, climb hills while carrying wheel-less bicycles and tree stumps, even assembling hundreds of Lego pieces in a precise design!
Like any other race, you'll receive lots of encouragement along the way - encouragement to quit, anyway. The race organizers will stand around sipping hot coffee while you're suffering, telling you to just quit, and even offering you a free on-site burial if, you know, something happens.
