The Pasar Minggu, litarally translates to Sunday Market, is found in Kampung Bahru. This is the oldest Malaysian residential area in the city. Aside from the authentic wooden houses, tourists and locals alike flock here during Saturday evenings. The reason for this is that Pasar Minggu opens at 6pm every Saturday and closes around 1am Sunday morning.
From sarongs to sonkok to clothes and jewelry, there are a lot of good fins in Pasar Minggu. They also have handicrafts for sale and other local goods and produce. For those who want a taste of Malaysia, there are several stalls who sell traditional Malaysian food here.
