The Glossary
Sakura - "A term referring to either the Japanese cherry blossoming tree or the blossom itself."
Hiroshima was the first city to ever suffer a nuclear blast. Today, the Peace Memorial Park now stands on ground zero. In the park is the Peace Memorial Museum which shows exhibits about the history and events which led to the US dropping the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima on Aug 6, 1945. Its exhibits include personal belongings of those who died because of the attack, photographs and other memorabilia depicting the horrors that happened during that day.
The Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima doesn't aim to just inform visitors about what happened, but the institution also aims to educate about the effects of nuclear bombs and to promote peace so that the same fate do not happen again.
