If in Jerusalem you feel that you are compelled to shop for some “authentic items,” be sure to deal with reliable merchants. As an alternative to the Old City is Machaneh Yehuda Bazaar which is open from Sunday to Thursday around 8 in the morning. Aside from the confection stalls and falafel stands, the bazaar also sells knick knacks and other souvenir items.
