Ancol Theme Park

The Ancol Theme Park, otherwise known as the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, is one of the most popular resort destinations in Jakarta. Located at the city's waterfront, this theme park composed of world-class hotels, golf course and various attractions was officially opened in 1966. It stands as the largest tourism area in the whole Southeast Asian Region.

One of the most popular attractions of Ancol Theme Park is the Dunia Fantasy World or Dufan. It is considered as a mini Disneyland. Rides here include a swinging ship, ferris wheel, spinning cup rides, their own rendition of Disney's It's a Small World and the famous Halilintar twisted roller coaster ride.

The Ancol Theme Park also has various water attractions such as Sea World, Atlantis Water Adventure and two main beaches. There are plans to further expand the park which are expected on 2015.
