For those who are sightseeing in Beijing, one of the must visit sights is the Beijing Planetarium. When it was completed in 1957, it was the first of its kind in the country. Its cupola measures an astonishing 23.5 meters in diameter where visitors can enjoy the presentation which lasts almost an hour. The whole presentation takes them on a journey through the universe and they can see first hand the different mysteries it covers. The Beijing Planetarium presentation is one of the best ways to educate and enhance a person's knowledge regarding the cosmos. Aside from the presentation, visitors will also be able to visit two other observatories on the courtyard to observe heavenly bodies through their powerful telescopes.
