An imperial style garden, Jingshan Park is found smack in the middle of Beijing. It covers a total area of 230,000 square meters on Jingshan Hill. Going up the peak of the hill will give tourists one of the best views of the Forbidden City as this is the highest point in all of Beijing. The first thing that visitors of the park will be able to see when entering through the front gate is the Qiwang Pavilion, where emperors worshipped the memorial tablet of Confucius. Aside from the manmade structures, Jingshan Park also boasts of natural scenery which is simply breathetaking. The park is also home to the largest peony rose garden in Beijing which is best seen during May. Jingshan Park opens from 6am to 7pm and admission is only 2 yuan, excluding fee for the exhibition.
